Commonly known as a 16 mm aviation-style connector, it features eight female contact pins and a threaded locking shell that provides a secure connection between mating connectors. Wire larger than approximately 20 AWG may not fit properly inside the solder terminals or connector housing. Cable Size The cable entry/strain-relief opening is typically approximately 6.57 mm. When using an 8-conductor cable, the overall outside diameter of the cable should be small enough to pass through the connector’s cable-entry opening.
