Description Show Reviews Just Like HiFiBerry AMP2, But Better! The HiFiBerry AMP4 continues the legacy of our prior designs, but adds the 2nd header to incorporate our daughter board add-on modules like the DSP processor . It is a high-quality, highly efficient Class-D power amplifier for the Raspberry Pi that is mounted onto the Raspberry Pi to create a stereo audio system. The speakers just have to be connected directly, which makes it an ideal module for multi-room audio installations. Facts Up to 60W output power (30W/ch.) Capable of driving a pair of 4-8 Ohm speakers Fully controllable from the Raspberry Pi Sample rates 44.1-192kHz (16-32bit) Digital-analog conversion included, no need for external DACs or sound cards Digital sound transmission for optimal audio performance Connects directly to the Raspberry Pi A+/B+/2B/3B/3B+/4B/Zero, no additional cables needed Only one 12-24V external power supply needed for both AMP4 and the Raspberry Pi – Suggested Power Supply No soldering required, the AMP4 is directly mounted on theRaspberry Pi A+/B+/2B/3B/3B+/4B/Zero in less than a minute Dimensions without package: 5.5 x 6.5 x 2.5 cm Dimensions including package: 9 x 7 x 3 cm Weight: 0.06 kg Usage recommendations small and elegant music playback devices home automation and multi-room audio systems solutions that require high-quality sound but unobtrusive appearance Notes If the software youre using doesnt provide the Amp4 as an output option, you should use the HiFiBerry DAC+ driver as the Amp4 is basically a DAC+ with an integrated power stage. The Amp4 integrated voltage converter is powerful enough to power even the new Raspberry Pi 4. Just note that it is not designed to power additional power-hungry USB devices or other hardware. There isnt a problem with low-power devices like mice, keyboards and similar. There might be even enough power for external hard disks, but the system might become unstable if too much additional current is drawn from the USB boards or the 5V rail on the GPIOs. 0 Reviews Hide Reviews Show Reviews
